Chest 17.5 in. Length 26 in. Content: Feels like cotton blend Tag Brand: No tag This cool vintage shirt commemorates the 1984 Summer Olympics that were held in Los Angeles. Nicknamed LA84, these games hosted a record breaking 140 National Olympic Committees, and this was even despite a boycott by several Eastern Bloc countries. LA84 was also noted for being one of the most financially successful modern games, as Los Angeles chose to utilize many of their preexisting sports infrastructures. The 1984 Olympics were preceded by a ten week long Olympic Arts Festival, which was organized by the president of CalArts at the time, Robert Fitzpatrick. The games were of course also preceded by the torch relay, and this shirt features a graphic of the Olympic torch. The relay stretched from New York City to LA and involved more than 3600 torchbearers. Among them were athletes like Muhammadi Ali, O.J. Simpson, and Walter Payton. Fits like a modern unisex adult small. This shirt is soft and thin and there's a small hole on the back and a run under the arm, see pics. 26-04-131420
