Japanese Swallowtail Angelfish (Female) WYSIWYG
This is a WYSIWYG Reef Fish, meaning you will receive the exact fish in the video. The Spotbreast Angelfish, also known as the Blackspot Angelfish or Blackspot Lyretail Angelfish, is distinguished by its highly flared tail and striking sexual dimorphism. Females have a yellow dorsal region and a light blue ventral area. Their caudal fin is marine blue with dark blue-black edging along the top and bottom. Males, on the other hand, feature a pale-colored body adorned with vertical red stripes. Their forked tail is yellow with blue edges, adding to their vibrant appearance. To thrive, this species requires a minimum 125-gallon tank with ample hiding spots and live rock for grazing. Unlike most angelfish, the Blackspot Angelfish is a suitable reef inhabitant, as it typically does not nip at stony or soft corals (sessile invertebrates). It is relatively peaceful and can be kept as a mated pair or even in small groups. Notably, fish in the Genicanthus genus are the only zooplanktivores among angelfish. For optimal health, their diet should include Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and finely shaved mysis or frozen shrimp. Feeding on EMA Mega Mix Fish & Coral Food.
