6/11 1pm: Glaze a 6”x12” Talavera Mural

2.5 Hour Experience: Glaze a ceramic tile mural, 6"x 12" Talavera mural, made of 2 6" tiles. 730 S. Stone Avenue, Tucson, Arizona This Studio C instructor-led workshop is recommended for intermediate and above. You will walk step by step through hand glazing a 12" square ceramic tile mural in the cuerda seca "dry cord" style, where wax outlines create a barrier between glaze colors. You will be able to choose your own color palette. All materials are provided. The tiles in this workshop will be pre-outlined with the wax design. If you would like to draw with wax, see our "Design your own mural" workshop. The instructor will kiln fire your tile after the workshop and it will be available for pickup or shipping in one week after the workshop. You will be able to have the mural set and grouted into a frame for an additional charge. If you want to create more than one mural or choose another design, additional 6" tiles pre-printed with a variety of designs will be available for add-on purchase to glaze at the studio. This workshop will not cover wax drawing. See "Design your own" workshops for working with wax outlines. We do not offer screen printing workshops.
