Child’s Kimono
A child’s summer kimono fashioned from ramie, the lightweight textile traditionally woven from fibers of the nettle plant. The cloth is stencil-dyed in motifs commonly seen among Okinawan textiles. The technique that allows for the crisp application of repeating motifs while preserving the airy, breathable character of the fabric. An unusual example in good condition with minor wear present.
