Copper is a naturally warm metal, which can feel more comfortable in the mouth compared to stainless steel. Combined with the rubber-coated cannons, this helps reduce sharp sensations and sudden pressure changes. At 12 mm thick, the SoftRide mouthpiece is well suited for horses with limited space in the mouth that benefit from a lighter, more forgiving double-jointed snaffle and a calm, steady connection. The D Ring cheekpiece is a gentle yet versatile choice and is suitable for all training levels. It can be useful to think of a D Ring cheekpiece as a hybrid between the eggbutt and the full cheek offering both stability and enhanced lateral control by applying some pressure on the cheeks when steering.
