WINEMAKER'S NOTES: Daniel and Julien Barraud’s 2023 Clos la Verchère Pouilly-Fuissé comes from the south facing ‘La Maréchaude’ premier cru vineyard comprised of Chardonnay vines with more than 60 years of age grown on limestone rich soils. Fermented and aged in oak barrels, 20% of which are new, brings forth a wine of richness and precision. Aromas of orchard fruits, wild flowers and roasted hazelnuts on the bouquet with energetic acidity and purity on the palate and a long mineral rich finish. Made from certified organic estate grown grapes.
