Introducing the Stab In The Dark X–winning design: the DRK in I-Bolic 2.0 Technology by Dan Mann, starring Kelly Slater. Inspired by the original FRK Dan shaped for Kelly, the DRK is a refined, high-performance evolution built for good waves. Kelly first connected with the FRK in 2017, loving its drive, responsiveness, and ability to go exactly where he wanted on the wave. Over time, Dan adjusted the rail, foil, and wide point based on Kelly’s feedback, creating a more balanced feel under the chest and a narrower, more sensitive tail. For Stab In The Dark X, Dan knew this was the shape: “Kelly not thinking about the board is when he is free to fly. When he is flying, we all win.” The DRK keeps the FRK’s proven rocker, bottom contours, and fin placement while delivering a cleaner, more refined performance shape that remains surprisingly versatile. Like all of Kelly’s boards, it’s built with a fin cluster suited for both quad and thruster setups, pairing perfectly with the new Slater Designs Endorfins KSR Fin Set.
