Work in a well-ventilated area and wear proper safety gear (gloves, eyewear, and respiratory protection). Step-by-Step Application: Preparation – Wash & Decontaminate: Wash the car thoroughly using Unlockd’s Low pH Soap to strip any remaining wax or coatings. Rinse and dry the vehicle completely using soft microfiber towels. Surface Decontamination – Clay Bar Treatment: Use a clay bar with lubricant to remove any bonded contaminants (tree sap, tar, etc.). The surface should feel completely smooth before proceeding. Paint Correction – Polish & Enhance Gloss: Polish the paint using a dual-action polisher, foam pad, and polishing compound to remove imperfections. This step maximizes shine and ensures an even ceramic coating application. Application – Apply the Ceramic Coating: Add a few drops of ceramic coating onto a clean applicator pad. Work in small sections (2ft x 2ft) using a straight-line motion. Apply in thin, even layers for best results. Buffing & Final Inspection: Allow the coating to cure ("Flash Time") for 2-10 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity. Buff gently with a clean microfiber towel to remove excess residue.
