Bloom

Some paintings are made. This one was listened to. Local artist Rachel Cameron created Bloom over 40 days — not rushing it, not forcing it, but following it. Colour applied by finger, layer by layer, wiped back and rebuilt again. The process itself became the painting: slow, intuitive, deeply felt. What emerged is a canvas alive with flowers that feel both wild and fragile. Pinks, reds and golds burst from a deep dark ground, petals suggesting themselves rather than declaring — layered, luminous, on the edge of letting go. Bloom is the kind of painting that changes depending on where you stand and how the light falls. It rewards time.
