Schismatoglottis ‘Silver indukan’ Bare Bottom Baby - SALE
Description Schismatoglottis ‘Silver indukan’ is a highly sought-after tropical aroid prized for its striking foliage. The leaves are elongated and slightly lance-shaped, featuring a prominent silvery sheen across the surface, contrasted by darker green margins and venation. The metallic appearance gives it a refined, almost satin-like finish, making it a standout in shaded plant collections. Native to humid forest floors in Southeast Asia, it naturally grows in sheltered, consistently moist environments. Care Plan Light Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight, as this can scorch the delicate foliage and dull the silver sheen. Tolerates medium light but growth may slow. Water Keep the soil consistently lightly moist. Do not allow it to fully dry out, but also avoid waterlogging. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot. Humidity Prefers high humidity (60%+). Performs best in greenhouse conditions, cabinets, or grouped with other plants. Lower humidity may lead to browning edges. Temperature Optimal range is 18–28°C. Avoid exposure to temperatures below 15°C and protect from cold drafts. Soil Use a well-draining, moisture-retentive aroid mix. A blend of coco coir or peat, perlite, and fine bark works well. Fertiliser Feed with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser every 2–4 weeks during active growth. Reduce feeding in cooler months. Growth Habit A compact, clumping grower. Suitable for pots, terrariums, or controlled indoor environments.
