Selected Poems, Love, Gevorg Emin (hardcover)

This collection, translated by Artashes Emin brings together some of the best poems of Gevorg Emin (1919-1998), one of the leading names of Soviet Armenian literature from the 1960s onward. Emin’s poetry is particularly attractive for its use of irony and word play. Vanessa Redgrave, the great British actress, wrote: “I began to read and could not stop, horrified by my ignorance and thrilled by the sense of discovery which comes when another human being opens your eyes and ears, telling you what you thought you knew amounted to very little.
