Named for the mountain laurel, an evergreen shrub with spotted flowers that appear in the spring, Laurel Falls is one of the park’s most picturesque and popular trail destinations. Hikers reach the tiered waterfall, which is crossed by a wooden bridge, after a 1.3-mile walk on a trail where black bear sightings are not uncommon.
