23.5 Inch Wide Brim Pāpale Pāʻole Pikoʻole Kona Lauhala Hat Made in Hawaii

This pāpale pā'ole was made using 1/8 inch mauʻu (strips) that were gathered and ulana (woven/plaited) in Hōnaunau, South Kona, Hawaii. The head size/circumference is 23.5 inches. 2 inches tall, the brim is 5.5 inches wide with 2 strand slight scalloping (more like roping) on the edge. It is recommended to store this pāpale on a flat surface so that gravity does not cause the wide brim to permanently sag. An organic cotton lined felt sweatband is sewn in for comfort. 10% of this sale ($45) will be donated to Māʻona Community Garden. Shipping is free in Hawai'i.
