Throwing & Handbuilding Ceramics – Beg-Int – 3 hour weekly classes, Sundays

Class Length: 8 weeks, 10am – 1pm each Sunday, beginning July 12th NO CLASS ON AUGUST 23RD! Tuition: $240 (+ $65 materials fee) Class Description: Students will explore the nature of clay and glazes, hand-building methods, throwing on the potter’s wheel, decorative process, and glaze application. This class provides substantial individual attention to beginners and then enables students to evolve at their own level and improve their skills in clay. This is an ideal class if you have little to no experience with clay and want to build your skills, but also great if you are an intermediate student wishing for more independent study with occasional guidance. Age Limitations: Ages 16 & Up Supplies Included: Tuition covers 25 lbs of clay, use of studio glazes, all firings, and use of communal tools and equipment. Additional Supplies: Basic Ceramic tool kit available for purchase in our art center for $30. We recommend you purchase your tool kit during open hours prior to the first class date!
