Designed as a fortress-like hub with slips and dry-stack storage for over 200 boats, plus a stylish restaurant, it quickly became a legendary hangout for high-performance boating enthusiasts and A-listers drawn to its vibrant scene. The marina’s history took a dramatic turn in 1987 when it was seized by federal authorities following Kramer’s arrest on drug-smuggling charges, with allegations that its $3.6 million construction was funded through illicit gains.
