Luna Moth / Actias Luna in a frame #2

A beautiful Luna moth mounted into a shadow frame. Also known as the American moon moth, it is a Nearctic moth in the family Saturniidae, subfamily Saturniinae, a group commonly known as giant silk moths. It has lime-green colored wings and a white body. Luna Moths are not rare, but are rarely seen by humans. This is due to their very brief (7–10 day) adult lives and nocturnal flying time. FRAME: 19.5cm x 14cm. This frame is only available in black.
