I also feel I’m a very old soul because I enjoy traditional things to the core. Gota fascinates me and I love seeing people pair dupattas of their mothers or grandmothers with something new. I came across this heavy dupatta fabric and my heart longed to create something bigger than my usual canvas - but by hand. Without much thought, I began work. I baby stepped into making these as it takes me 2 months to complete a design because I don’t use read made banarsi bails. I cut up fabric to hand hem it like a border, just because I love details. I wanted contemporary dupattas with a simple gharara to keep the dupatta in focus. My design came together in the middle of the night. As a small business owner, you are everything yourself. So I wore the outfit myself and mirror selfied the look!! And I LOvE it!! The collection is a set of 5 designs. Shadeed Tareen Gulabi is dupatta 1 of 5 and is up on the website for purchase.
