Italian Silver Recipe Cocktail Shaker

A rare model of silver recipe cocktail shaker in an Art Deco style. With engraved names of 15 popular cocktails; twist the body of the shaker to point the arrow at the name of the desired cocktail and the recipe appears in the window cut outs beneath. The base has Italian maker's identification stamp of 224 MI inside a diamond shape lozenge, for silversmiths De Vecchi Pietro e Cattaneo Primo, Milan and dating it between 1934 & 1968 plus Italian silver purity mark of 800. Also has the Fascio (Fasces) mark required for Italian silver made between the late 1920s and 1944. Dimensions: 27 cm /10⅝ inches (height) x 9.25 cm/3⅝ inches (max diameter).
