The Distichphyllum maibarae Moss is a rare live submerged aquarium plant suitable for freshwater tanks. Maibarae has a distinct shape similar to Hookeriaceae and Jade Lotus, but with pointed tips and a uniform medium-green color. Our D. Maibarae moss is grown submerged in low-tech shrimp tanks. Only super-healthy, bright green cuttings will be harvested and shipped directly to customers. Typical portions will be several pieces (roughly 2"X2"), which will be more than enough to start propagating your own beautiful piece. How to grow: We recommend you cut your new moss up into small ½” to ¾” pieces and tie or glue it to whatever surface you would like to attach it to. Each new end will continue to grow and eventually produce a lush, full, beautiful plant. Alternatively, the purchased pieces can be left as-is and each cut end will branch out. *Homegrown here in the USA in my shrimp tanks!* Water Parameters: TDS 140-150, GH 4-6, KH 0-1, pH 6.5 I use low tech LED lights and no fertilizer or co2 - this is a great beginner to intermediate moss! May contain chance of snails. A beautiful variation of aquatic moss that is somewhat rare in planted aquarium tanks. Intermediate level of care. Aquarium moss provides excellent shade and coverage for shrimplets and small fish. It can be attached to driftwood for an aged look in the planted tank. Dead on Arrival Policy: In the rare event that the shrimp or plants arrive all DoA, I require a picture of the dead shrimp/plants IN THE SHIPPING BAG next to the shipping label within 1 HOUR of delivery. Since these are live plants, this is to prevent them being left outside and vulnerable to the weather conditions.
