Tunisian Crochet Colorwork Basics

Class Schedule: Thursday, June 25 & July 2, 2026, 6:00 - 8:00 pm Instructor: Madison Gillespie This class is two sessions long. Please ensure you are available for both sessions before booking your spot. See cancellation policy below. Ready to make your Tunisian crochet projects pop with color? In this fun, hands-on class, students will learn several techniques for changing colors in Tunisian crochet while creating a stylish handmade placemat. We’ll explore clean color changes, simple colorwork methods, yarn management tips, and ways to combine shades for bold or subtle designs. Along the way, students will gain confidence working with multiple colors and discover how these techniques can be used in future scarves, blankets, garments, and home décor projects. Perfect for adventurous beginners and intermediate crocheters who know the basics of Tunisian crochet and are ready to play with color in a creative, approachable way. (Prerequisites) know for to do the basic Tunisian simple stitch have completed at least one Tunisian crochet project This is NOT an absolute beginner class. Please be aware that class time will not be spent on reteaching the aforementioned prerequisites. Ages: Adult Supplies to Bring 2 different colored skeins of yarn; one will be "color A" and the other "color B" 5mm tunisian crochet hook darning needle scissors Supplies purchased at Yarncom for this class will receive a 10% discount. *some exclusions apply Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to class, especially if you are planning to purchase supplies on the day of class. Minimum Number of Students: 2 If class minimum is not met by 48 hours before class start, class will be cancelled. Registrants will be contacted via phone and/or email, and refunded the full class fee to their original form of payment. Class Policies The schedule presented is the available time for the instructor. If you are unable to attend a class session, a 1:1 lesson can be scheduled at an additional cost. Yarncom must be notified a minimum of 48 hours before the first session begins if you will not be attending. Refunds will not be available for cancellations within 48 hours of the first session. Credit card refunds for cancellations are available with a $15 administration fee. Store credit refunds for cancellations are available at no additional fee. The credit will be added to your customer profile. You may reschedule your class up to 48 hours before the first session if the class is offered at another time. Exceptions at management discretion.
