The Garden Heart is a three-tier statement earring handcrafted at the De Petra Atelier in Houston — where Lorena Medinilla has spent 18 years creating wearable art carried by Anthropologie, Free People, and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. A brass disc clip-on leads into a cobalt blue crochet arch on a brass hoop, layered with red crochet stripes and copper hematite beads. Below, a richly embroidered sacred heart in deep purple, teal, and gold — complex, dense, alive. From the heart hangs a baroque freshwater pearl alongside a solid brass rose stem with leaves, finishing in a brass bell flower at the base. Five inches of De Petra at full expression.
