2013 Gibson Custom Shop DUANE ALLMAN 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS Burst 59 Reissue R9 Signature Model! Here is a really nice 2013 Gibson Custom Shop Duane Allman VOS 1959 Les Paul Signature Model, a very successful tribute model inspired by one of the greatest guitarists of all time. This one features a really nice tight flame maple top in a unique finish that gives it a very distinctive look while still staying true to the vintage Burst vibe. It’s loaded with all the right specs including uncovered Custombucker humbuckers, Schaller Deluxe tuners, and an ABR-1 bridge with brass saddles, along with all the classic late-’50s Les Paul appointments you’d expect from a high-end Historic model. The guitar is all original and in very good plus condition. It’s not quite mint, but very close overall, with just a few light marks and fewer than a handful of tiny dings. It presents beautifully and has clearly been very well cared for. Neck feel is excellent, with a nice chunky profile measuring approximately 0.90” at the 1st fret and 0.98” at the 12th fret, giving it that substantial late-’50s feel without being overwhelming. This one plays easily and sounds exactly like a great Les Paul should — rich, warm, dynamic, and sustaining with excellent clarity from the Custombuckers. It comes complete with the original brown hardshell case, COA, all paperwork and case candy, and even the original cloth guitar cover used while resting in the case. The only thing missing appears to be the small zip drive, though realistically most people won’t miss that today. At 8.7 lbs, it’s also a very comfortable weight for a Historic Les Paul.
