Oriole & Orange

I get an occasional oriole to my grape jelly & orange set up but not a lot. It seems the woodpecker and catbirds enjoy my sweet offerings more. But every once in a while I catch a glimpse of an oriole nibbling away and it is a huge thrill...yes I know I'm a bird nerd;-) This drawing was inspired by such a sighting when I literally reached for my pastels & conte pencil & had at it on a piece of of cold pressed paper originally intended for some other use. This frame is wide enough to stand alone or hung. It's not my usual bright white but a warm, buttery shade. Outer Framed dimensions 10" x 12"
