Tas Spearos – Spear & Freedive Weekend 2026 Hosted by Go Dive Tasmania & Tas Spearos Join us on the spectacular Tasman Peninsula for a weekend of spearfishing, freediving, seafood, and adventure. From the towering cliffs through to the reefs and coastline of Eaglehawk Neck and potentially even remote areas around Maria Island, this weekend is all about exploring Tasmania’s incredible offshore environment with like-minded ocean enthusiasts. Depending on conditions and trip goals, divers may have the opportunity to explore less frequently visited areas, hunt new ground, target reef species, freedive remote coastlines, or scallop dive inside Maria Island. This is a chance to get beyond the usual sites and experience parts of Tasmania many divers never access. The weekend also includes a seafood cook-up, Tas Spearos AGM around the firepit, accommodation options at The Adventure Lodge, and a great social atmosphere across the entire event. Whether you’re an experienced spearo, keen freediver, or simply love being out on the ocean, this is shaping up to be an epic weekend on the water. 🗓️ Event Highlights Morning freedive/spearfishing trips to Maria Island & Eaglehawk Neck Seafood cook-up on Saturday afternoon – bring your catch! Tas Spearos AGM held around the firepit following the cook-up Accommodation available at The Adventure Lodge or camping options out back. ⚠️ Safety & Conditions Safety is our priority – be prepared for cooler conditions and dress accordingly Dive locations may change depending on weather Only book trips you are suitably experienced and capable of diving 🛥️ Trip Options Option 1 – Tasman Island Adventure Duration: Upto 6 hours Price: $169 per person Departure: Boomer Bay Objective: This trip will focus on scallop diving inside Maria Island, with opportunities to explore the outer coastline for spearfishing and diving, while accessing remote and less frequently dived areas.
