Senna Leaf (Senna alexandrina)

Senna leaf also called ˜Sona-Mukhi', used for its laxative properties. It works by interacting with the bacteria in the digestive tract, encourage bowel movements, relieve constipation and help colon to soften stool.* Recommended Dosage: Steep ¼-1/2tsp leaves in a cup of boiling water, may add some sliced fresh ginger, cover & steep for 10 minutes, strain, and drink (recommended to take before bedtime) while hot. The leaves can also be put in cold water and steeped for 10 to 12 hours. *Warning: The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) warn against long-term use of senna leaf.
