The Macallan Colour Collection 18 Years Old is part of The Macallan’s Colour Collection series, created to celebrate the natural colour derived entirely from sherry-seasoned oak cask maturation. Matured for 18 years in a combination of European and American oak casks seasoned with sherry in Jerez, Spain. The nose is rich and refined with aromas of dark dried fruits, dates, figs, raisins, orange peel, polished oak, vanilla, and dark chocolate, layered with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and sweet pipe tobacco. On the palate, the whisky is velvety and full-bodied, revealing flavors of toffee, treacle, baked fruits, spiced oak, cocoa, roasted nuts, and sherry sweetness balanced by gentle citrus brightness. Deeper notes of espresso, clove, and ginger emerge as the whisky develops, adding warmth and sophistication.
