Prokofiev: Piano Concerto No. 3; Sonata No. 3; Ballet music transcriptions (CD)

Isata Kanneh-Mason’s new album, devoted to the music of Prokofiev, stems from a long relationship with the composer’s music, which reached a major public milestone when she made her BBC Proms solo debut in 2023, performing Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3. The album also includes a number of transcriptions from ballet music by the composer – three of the ‘fairy’ movements from Cinderella, four pieces from Romeo and Juliet – as well as the exciting "Toccata, Op. 11."
