Plectranthus ernstii

Plectranthus ernstii Family: Lamiaceae. This mint relative is an interesting caudiciform with soft leaves and flexible stems. Grows a round or horn shaped caudex. Old plants can get quite impressive. We keep ours trimmed, but even if you let it grow freely the branches don't get over about 10" tall. Easy to grow. Likes a quite a bit of water during the summer, especially the heat. It becomes less active but does not go dormant in the winter. Keep it pretty dry until it starts growing again. Protect from frost. You will receive the plant you select. Plants shown in a 3.5" pot.
