Chardonnay Riserva Magnum 2022

2022 100% Chardonnay 50 Magnums 13.7% alc. This is the second offering of our Chardonnay Riserva. The single block of Gin Gin clone fruit is from the incredible Wildberry Estats in the heart of the Wilyabrup sub-region. Hand picked, whole bunch basket pressed direct to barrique (50% new), wild fermented, wild malolactic ferment, extended lees contact and batonnage all add to the great complexity of this wine. With a heart of elegance and precision but also displaying undoubted power and complextiy this is a step in a new direction for Chardonnay at Mr Barval. This wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered and a harmless sediment may remain.
