Bertinga’s La Porta di Vertine is high-altitude, single-vineyard expression of Sangiovese from Gaiole in Chianti Classico, from organically grown grapes, at its most honest. Pure Sangiovese from cool, elevated vineyards near Vertine, aged in concrete for clarity and lift. Bertinga is a rising Tuscan estate focused on precision, freshness, and expressing place without excess. The 2021 vintage it shines for its vitality: bright, saline and sapid, its tangy cherry and raspberry fruits are underlined by subtle wood and wonderful freshness. It spends one year in used Austrian casks, and a further year in bottle. It boasts a perfect balance, showcasing well-integrated tannins, remarkable acidity, and a lingering finish.
