Birger Kaipiainen - small Viola Wall Plate Arabia Finland

Birger Kaipiainen (1915-1988) is one of the most successful and well known ceramic artists in Finland. One of his more famous art works is the "Pansy sea" (Orvokkimeri) for the World Fair in 1967 in Montreal, a wall installation with numerous different sized Viola flowers. Small Viola plates are ca 15x14cm. The big Viola ones are ca 27,7 x 25cm and the giant ones are ca 55 x 49 cm. Collect several of these pieces of art and decorate your own Pansy wall!
