If you've ever wondered how artists create handmade prints, posters, books, or limited editions, this class is the perfect place to begin. Designed for complete beginners and curious makers, this 7-week course introduces a range of printmaking techniques through clear instruction and hands-on exploration. You'll experiment with monoprinting, rubber block carving, blotted-line printing, and introductory screen printing while learning how each process transforms an idea into a finished print. Along the way, you'll experience the excitement of pulling original prints—each one slightly different, each one uniquely your own. As you work, you'll learn how to plan images for print, build layers of color, and develop a small body of work across multiple printmaking processes. During class, you'll: Explore four different printmaking techniques Learn how to carve, ink, and print your own original designs Experiment with texture, layering, and color Create a collection of handmade prints to take home Discover which printmaking techniques inspire you most No experience is needed.
