Linocut & Woodcarving Tools, Set of 5

Modern, portable tools for relief printmaking From Sakura of Japan, these cool-looking linocut tools are an affordable upgrade to the standard beginner kit. Each tool has a solid steel blade, about 1" long, suitable for cutting wood blocks, linoleum, and stamp material. These are tough, sharp blades that allow precise cutting and clean lines. In our tests, we found them comparable to tools that cost considerably more. The cutter shapes included are a well-rounded assortment: two round (U-shaped) gouges, one V-shaped gouge, a pointed knife and a flat knife. These five tools are capable of carving pretty much any design into a relief printing block. We especially like the handles and grips on this set: they're non-slip and comfortable to use, with a nice feeling of sturdiness even though they are plastic. They're also lightweight, reducing hand fatigue over time. All five tools come in a plastic case which opens at the handle side. So it's easy and safe to transport these tools from home to studio.
