Ethiopia - West Arsi - Washed

Nestled among the rolling highlands of West Arsi, the Testi Washing Station has become a trusted source of some of Ethiopia’s most expressive coffees. Since its establishment in 2010, Testi has worked closely with hundreds of smallholder farmers across the region, transforming carefully harvested cherries into coffees that showcase the remarkable character of Ethiopian terroir. Approximately 850 producers contribute to this lot, each cultivating coffee on small family-owned plots surrounded by food crops and native vegetation. During harvest, ripe cherries are handpicked and delivered to the washing station, where they undergo meticulous washed processing before being dried slowly on raised beds beneath the Ethiopian sun. Although coffees from Ethiopia are rarely traceable to an individual producer, the strength of the relationship between farmers and washing stations like Testi allows exceptional quality to emerge year after year.
