Border Collie Dog Pendant

My friend had a Border Collie who was aging. I decided to make her a pendant using silver clay. I asked for photographs and drew a facsimile on paper with black pen and then shrank it down to suitable size. I traced that onto a scratch foam board with a ballpoint pen so I could get a deep impression. I pressed the silver clay into the impression to get the final image. It was difficult because Border Collies have lovely hair which is difficult to get an image of. After several tries I got an image I was satisfied with. It looked like a Border Collie however it was hard to capture the sweet smiling impression of my friend's dog's face. After refining the image and smoothing it with a flexible sanding pad, I put it in a 1650 degree F kiln and fired it for 2 hours. I then burnished it with 24K Gold Foil an ancient technique called Keum Boo and painted it with patina for accent. After polishing it, I put it on an 18" sterling silver chain and gave it to my friend. This is not for sale but the software required me to put a price on it.
