Georgian Paste Necklace

A striking Georgian green paste necklace, circa 1810, crafted in gilt metal and set with nine vivid grass-green paste stones. Each stone is foil-backed to intensify its wonderfully rich colour and individually mounted in a decorative collet with distinctive crown-like finials. The necklace is centred with a larger articulated drop and finished with a fine chain and barrel clasp. A particularly smart and beautifully preserved example of Georgian paste jewellery, with an exceptionally vibrant green colour.
