While many jewellers have opted to use vermeil to reduce the price, this isn't an option Christine thinks is sensible. Gold vermeil is silver that is plated with gold and many customers don't understand this. It gives you the look of gold without the cost but the plating wears off and quickly look terrible. It can be difficult to find anyone to replate it and expensive to have this done. Rather than try to lure you in with a cheap price, Christine values the long term pleasure you will get from the real thing. This 9ct rose gold necklace has two asymmetric hearts that sit perfectly together. The hearts are slightly longer where they hang from the necklace which gives the illusion that the hearts are stretching and the flat edge allows the hearts to touch. One heart is larger than the other. The larger heart is matt finished and set with a round brilliant cut diamond. The matt finish highlights the sparkle of the diamond. The small heart is highly polished. The contrasts between size and finish of these two hearts give the impression of representing two different indivduals and customers of ours have often bought this design to symbolise them and their partner or two children. The hearts hang on a 9ct rose gold curb chain which gives the appearance of being delicate but is in fact very strong. It is 45cm long but can come in different lengths. The round brilliant cut diamond is G colour VS clarity. It is 0.02ct. The loop at the top of each heart is handmade and soldered closed so it will not open up if caught.
