Yew - Waney Edge Boards

Delightful kiln-dried yew waney edge wood boards sourced from a felled tree in London, showcasing the distinctive natural beauty, character and vibrant colours of this highly sought-after hardwood. Board A A beautiful Grade 1 yew board featuring medium ingrown bark, light pip and attractive straight grain patterns. The board has two working faces, with one live edge and one straight edge. There is a small blade mark towards the bottom right of the front face. The timber displays vivid orange, pink, purple and dark blue colouring throughout, adding to its natural character and visual appeal. Board B A distinctive character yew board featuring medium knots, heavy ingrown bark, light pip and attractive straight grain. Both edges are naturally live edged and the board has two working faces. A low spot on the back can be easily sanded to create a smoother surface, while there is also a small area of soft, rotten timber within the ingrown bark on the reverse. Beautiful dark blue, pink and orange tones run throughout the board. Thicknessed both sides as seen in images. The boards are marked A-B and priced for sale individually. Internet sale only.
