This piece is based on the archaeological find currently housed in the British Museum, recorded as Museum No. 1999,1001.1, with careful attention given to the form, decoration and character of the original object. Featuring an intricate Borre-style "gripping beast" weave, this pendant embodies the raw, mythological craftsmanship of the Norse age. The pendant features an ornate suspension loop, faithfully recreated as part of the original Viking design, and is sized to accommodate chains and cord ends up to 4mm in diameter.
