2025 Chateau les Tourelles Bordeaux White
Purchased in 1938 by Jean Darriet—a sixth-generation winegrower—this estate has always been naturally suited to white wine production. Total area of 10 hectares: planted with 50% Merlot/Cabernet Franc and 50% Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon. A single, contiguous vineyard block with a steep slope. Limestone bedrock; plateau featuring fine clay-gravel soils. Pneumatic pressing; pre-fermentation skin maceration under nitrogen for 12 to 18 hours; temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation. Aged on the lees in tanks for 8 months, with regular stirring of the lees (bâtonnage). Tasting Note: Intense nose of white fruit, lemon, and pink grapefruit. Zesty attack on the palate with bracing yet well-balanced acidity that lends vibrancy and intensity to the wine. Origin: Cadillac, Bordeaux, France Blend: 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon
