Part of the Pois Cocktail Ring series, this one-of-a-kind ring was conceived around the beauty and intensity of a large coloured stone. At its centre, a striking oval Blue London Topaz becomes the absolute protagonist. Its vivid, luminous blue called for a setting with equal presence, something bold enough to frame the stone without taking away from its extraordinary colour and transparency. The Poils setting is deliberately chunky, sculptural and edgy, with an organic structure that wraps around the stone almost like a small sculpture. It is a true cocktail ring: joyful, unconventional and designed to be noticed. The substantial volume of the setting is made possible by Sterling Silver, a material chosen to give the ring its generous proportions and strong sculptural presence. The entire surface is then finished in Rose Gold Vermeil, a thick plating of high-carat rose gold over 20kt, creating a rich, warm finish that contrasts beautifully with the intense blue of the stone. As with all rings in the Pois Cocktail series, the stone is intentionally set slightly forward from the centre of the band. This allows another band to sit comfortably alongside it, transforming the ring into an even bolder, chunkier composition. I designed a simple, substantial band specifically to pair with the Pois band, for those who want to amplify its volume and sculptural presence even further.
