Tom's Muesli
Summer is for balanced breakfasts. Last July we dropped Eva’s muesli, this year it’s my—ever so slightly more decadent—turn. Introducing Tom's Muesli. “Good artists copy, great artists steal.” I chose to borrow from my wife and add tropical notes and caffeine to her original recipe. I started with oats. Then I mixed-in diced yuzu peel from my friends at YuzuCo. Switch Eva’s goji berries and dates for more exotic flavors—pineapple and coconut. Then add equal measures of cashews, almonds, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. I stole Eva’s black sesame seed powder idea but added matcha from my other friends at Match.com.
