M24 Chaffee Light Tank Platoon Bundle

Developed as a replacement for the M3/M5 Stuart series of light tanks, the M24 (given the name 'Chaffee' in British service) paired high speed and excellent mobility with the proven and powerful 75mm gun used in M4 Shermans. The trade-off for this was its thin armour, but this was considered acceptable for the reconnaissance and scouting work it was expected to perform. Arriving to the European theatre in late 1944, the Chaffee proved to be an effective and capable light tank in both American and British service, although it never served in the same huge quantities as the Stuarts it replaced.
