Circa 1900 0.18ct Old Euro Cut Diamond, 18ct White Gold and Platinum, size L or 5.75, 2.0g, with valuation

When we found this beauty she was a little worse for wear. Her centre stone and its setting had seen the best of their life and it was in need of some TLC. A new hand carved illusion plate later, and set with an old cut stone that we rescued from a different ring that had to be scrapped, and we have the most fabulous little antique restoration. The illusion plate setting is intentionally high corner caps - so that the old cut diamond is protected and to offer a lovely bigger face in fabulous 18ct white gold to glisten and allow the stone to bounce light off. The filigree edges are delicate and the leaf motif and the use of single cut stones in the shoulders screams of the early 900s. This ring is elegant and refined and all kinds of old school beautiful.
