Why It Made The List A handmade wooden slingshot with the same old-school appeal as Hella’s traditional No.4, but finished with a cleaner, more graphic look. It still carries that nostalgic sense of summer days, outdoor mischief and entertainment before screens took over. Each one is cut from a real forked hardwood branch, then hand-finished and airbrushed with black acrylic accents, before being fitted with natural latex bands and a leather pouch. The natural wood means every slingshot has its own shape and grain, while the hand-painted finish gives a more contemporary feel. Compact enough to slip into a pocket and made by hand in San Francisco, it’s part throwback, part pastime and exactly the sort of thing that makes grown men grin. N.B.
