Turning the key locks or unlocks the levers, while the latchbolt remains operable by the lever when unlocked. Latchbolt operated by lever from either side unless outside lever is locked by key. Both levers can be locked or unlocked by key from either inside or outside. Auxiliary latchbolt deadlocks the latchbolt when the door is closed.
