Engineered for demanding functional parts, robotics, tooling, and industrial applications. Matter3D PA6-CF is a premium engineering-grade nylon filament reinforced with 20% carbon fiber to deliver exceptional stiffness, dimensional stability, and heat resistance. Manufactured in Victoria, British Columbia, this material is designed for users who need lightweight, high-strength parts capable of performing in demanding environments. Compared to standard nylons, the carbon fiber reinforcement significantly reduces warping while producing parts with outstanding rigidity and excellent surface finish. Key Features 20% Carbon Fiber Reinforced PA6/PA66 Nylon Excellent stiffness and strength Heat Deflection Temperature up to 135°C Outstanding dimensional stability Reduced warping compared to traditional nylon Excellent wear, abrasion, and fatigue resistance Ideal for functional end-use parts Manufactured in Canada Perfect For Robotics components Structural brackets and mounts Jigs and fixtures Automotive components RC and drone parts Tooling Mechanical assemblies Engineering prototypes Lightweight structural parts Recommended Print Settings Setting Recommendation Nozzle Temperature 260–285°C Bed Temperature 70–100°C Chamber Temperature 40–70°C (Recommended) Print Speed 40–70 mm/s Cooling Off or below 20% Drying 70°C for 6–8 hours before printing Enclosure Strongly Recommended Nozzle Hardened Steel, Tungsten Carbide, or Ruby Technical Specifications Specification Detail Material PA6/PA66 Nylon + 20% Carbon Fiber Tensile Strength 110–140 MPa Impact Strength 12 J/m Heat Deflection Temperature 135°C Diameter 1.75 mm Available Sizes 1 kg and 3 kg Why Choose Carbon Fiber Nylon? PA6-CF combines the toughness of nylon with the rigidity of carbon fiber, making it an excellent choice for parts that need to stay accurate under load and maintain their shape at elevated temperatures. It prints with significantly better dimensional stability than traditional nylon while remaining much easier to machine and finish after printing. Important Notes Nylon absorbs moisture quickly. For the best print quality and mechanical performance, always dry the filament before use and store it in a dry environment. Due to the abrasive nature of carbon fiber, a hardened nozzle is required. An enclosed printer is strongly recommended for the best layer adhesion and dimensional accuracy.
