Handcrafted in Japan, these sewing shears pair a Seki City stainless steel blade — Gifu Prefecture's historic home of cutlery-making — with a lacquered handle finished by artisans at a long-established Aichi lacquer workshop.The Tamenuri finish is built up from layers of translucent lacquer over a gold-leaf base, giving the handle a warm, glowing depth that develops richer character with age and use.
