JR N700S Series Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen Basic Set The N700S is a new train model for the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines, developed based on the existing N700 series. A verification test train for this series debuted in March 2018 and underwent various trials. Mass-production units based on the test train were subsequently manufactured, and service began in July 2020, primarily on "Nozomi" services. The mass-production units feature modifications such as changes to the bogie covers on the lead cars and the shape of the antennas. ● Recreates the Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen N700S mass-production model ● A full 16-car consist can be recreated by combining this product (Cars 1, 5, 14, and 16) with Add-on Set A <98425> and Add-on Set B <98426> ● Newly manufactured parts accurately recreate the bogie covers on cars 743-1 and 744-1, which differ from those on the verification test train ● Antennas recreated with newly manufactured parts ● "N700 Supreme" logo printed ● Equipped with a constant-lighting circuit board for head and tail lights ● Headlights illuminated by white LEDs ● Car numbers, JR marks, car numbers (on body and roof), non-smoking symbols, and roof warning markings are pre-printed ● Uses colored interior seating ● Equipped with movable gangways ● Uses hook-and-U-shaped conductive couplers ● Motorized unit features a flywheel ● Uses a new power pickup system and silver wheels ● Uses the M-13 motor
