COPENHAGEN, Denmark. The map-drawing centers on the historic city between the waterfront wharves and canals and Sodermarken Park in Frederiksberg. Waterways intermingle with streets and interesting shapes emerge from the bock patterns. The URBAN BURDEN Collection, is a Contemplation of the layers upon layers of a city block: soil, rock, garbage, treasures, plate tectonics, wind, water, glacial scrapes, urban design, acts of violence, acts of redemption, delight, kindness. Each block is a site of burden, accumulation of the millenia of natural forces and habitation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original is signed & dated by me, on lower front corners.
